Our Client's Procurement team near Reading are currently looking for an experienced Expeditor to strengthen the team and support current and future  projects

This role is responsible for ensuring timely supply of critical components into our Clients Manufacturing sites.  The incumbent shall monitor all aspects of progress related to critical deliverable items and take necessary actions, expediting internally and externally, to ensure on-time-delivery in accordance with site need dates.  
Use the ERP system and other stakeholder inputs to develop and maintain a concise target list of critical PO's requiring additional focused expediting.
Interrogate PO's to fully understand the status of pre-delivery documentation, to allow targeted remedial actions on any non-compliant areas.
Engage in daily manufacturing operations forum in order to keep abreast of priorities.
Set up a regular reporting rhythm with key suppliers to ensure a complete understanding of the current status of each critical PO deliverable.
Establish and maintain a process for monitoring and tracking the progress of critical deliveries through time, making note of actions taken and interventions made.
Proactively work with Buyers to ensure the ERP system is fully updated and aligned with current expediting status.
Ensure that any supplier technical queries or concessions are rapidly handled and expedited through the correct channels in line with Company procedures.
Work with members of the Supplier Quality team to ensure that any planned inspection activity is fully planned into supplier delivery forecasts and fast-tracked where necessary. 
Arrange site visits for the most critical deliveries to physically verify supplier progress and ensure that deliverable items are on track for delivery in line with reported delivery dates.
Provide concise updates on critical PO's to internal customers, ensuring they are fully appraised of latest developments and, where applicable, mitigating actions.
Work with members of the wider supply chain team to ensure feedback on supplier performance is communicated and considered in future strategic supply decisions.
Ensure that correct governance is followed, ensuring that every delivery adheres to the highest quality standards.
Ensure that HSSE considerations are front and centre of all decision making.
Proactively engage in all applicable improvement initiatives.  What we think you should have :
A clear understanding of manufacturing processes - specifically machined components, fabricated components, fasteners, and seals.
Awareness of key aspects of supplier performance.
Ability to develop and maintain customer relations and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
Willingness to assist others when required.
Ability to influence and persuade others to overcome problems
3+ years of experience in a Supply Chain / Manufacturing / or similar role, and preferably experience in O&G.
Practical expediting experience - both internally and externally.
Extensive SAP MRP/ERP system experience. 
Proficient in MS applications Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc
Credible knowledge and experience of supply chain processes and managing critical deliveries.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders - excellent interpersonal skills.
Track record of delivering results - strong operational mindset.
Experience in effective teamwork, with the ability to positively influence team members.
Proactive; must have the self-motivation and enthusiasm to work to tight deadlines and promote the same attitude throughout the team.
Open minded & receptive to change - willing to learn.
Strong presentation skills - confident communicator, both verbally and written.
Commercial and analytical mindset - able to manage complex challenges.
Excellent prioritisation, time management and organisational skills.
Visibly display ethical behaviour and integrity, acting as a role model within the Supply Chain team.
