Copello are recruiting for a Component Engineer to join a defence organisation on an initial 12 month basis.

As the Component Engineer you will be supporting activities within the Avionics department.

Duties of the Component Engineer include:

* Authoring and change control of BOM's , Bill of Design and the Parts Management Control Plans

* Providing technical support for electronic, electrical, mechanical and material commodities

* Management of hardware configuration logbooks

* Obsolescence management

The successful Component Engineer will have the following experience

* Experience within a defence/aerospace or military organisation

* Knowledge of standards such as Mil Hdbk 217 or 338 or the equivalent

* Obsolescence management

* Design for manufacturing or assembly

* Experience of working with, electrical, electronics, mechanical commodities

This role will require SC clearance or eligibility for SC clearance. This role is a UKEO.

The Component Engineer will be required to be on site 4 days a week. Role is inside IR35 paying circa £50 -£65 per hour.
