The role:

As Audit Senior, you'll take a lead role in delivering high-quality audit assignments from planning through to completion, while developing strong client relationships and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver audit fieldwork, substantive testing and analytical review procedures across a varied client portfolio
  • Take ownership of audit planning, execution and completion, ensuring files are completed to a high technical standard
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Identify key audit risks, areas of concern and technical issues, escalating where appropriate
  • Liaise directly with clients, building trusted relationships and acting as a key day-to-day contact
  • Support budgets, deadlines and workflow to ensure smooth delivery
  • Coach, support and review the work of junior team members

About you:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or finalist very close to qualification)
  • Strong UK practice audit experience at Senior level
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Experience working on group audits / more complex assignments is highly desirable
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Enjoys mentoring junior staff and taking ownership of work
