Your new company

Your new role
As a Best Interest Assessor, you will be responsible for assessments and provide a high quality and effective service relating to the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards process whilst responding to the Service User needs in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines, Directorate policies, standards and guidelines.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to complete a least three assessments per week, working to the Government's guidance. Protect the rights and promote the interests of service users and carers and promote the independence of service users while protecting them as far as possible from danger or harm. Respect the rights of service users whilst seeking to ensure that their behaviour does not harm themselves or other people. Strive to establish and maintain the trust and confidence of service users and carers Uphold public trust and confidence in social care services Be accountable for the quality of your work and take responsibility for maintaining and improving their knowledge and skills

Essential requirements of this Best Interest Assessor role, you must have a degree or equivalent Social Work Qualification Social Work England registration.Practising BIAs and should have up to date refresher training. You must be able to travel to the area to make visits as assessments are being carried out remotely and face to face visits to be undertaken where necessary eg to meet the person's communication needs.
3 month rolling contract 35 hours per week at
Grade 5 pay rate
Eligible to work in the UK
Hold a full UK drivers' licence- preferred
Post-qualified experience
