Job Duties:

Plan and deliver engaging history lessons to students
Develop and implement curriculum content in line with national standards
Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, exams, and projects
Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance
Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Degree in History or related field
Experience working with secondary school students

Education:

Minimum of a Degree in History or related field

Experience:

Prior experience working with secondary school students

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of history curriculum and teaching methods
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process
Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Education
Experience with exam board requirements

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The teacher will be expected to work in a secondary school setting, collaborating with other faculty members and engaging with students and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
