The Property Accounts Assistant will play a key role in supporting the accounting and finance department within the property industry. This permanent position in Chertsey offers an excellent opportunity to work in a hybrid setting with a competitive salary.

Description

  • Prepare and manage financial records related to property transactions.
  • Assist with client account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Process invoices and payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Handle queries from clients and tenants, providing clear and professional responses.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the property portfolio.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the wider accounting and finance team to streamline processes.
  • Managing and maintaining service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RICS regulations
  • Prepare and review service charge budgets
  • Producing client statements and any additional reports required
  • VAT reporting
  • Collaborate with property management team to resolve accounts queries
  • Liaise with external accountants on production of year end accounts where necessary
  • Assisting with the company accounts

Profile

A successful Property Accounts Assistant should have:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience working within the property industry or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Studying towards or have completed AAT qualification
