Approved Electrician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Approved Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing electrical systems on a commercial new build to ensure safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and equipment, and determine necessary repairs.

*

Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed and materials used.

*

Collaborate with other trades and construction professionals to complete projects on time and within budget.

*

Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to health and safety policies.

*

Provide technical guidance and support to junior electricians or apprentices as needed.

*

Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues and repairs.

Qualifications:

*

Valid certification/license as an Approved Electrician (e.g., certified by a recognized regulatory authority or professional body).

*

Proven experience working as a qualified electrician, typically 3+ years.

*

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuitry, and tools.

*

Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

*

Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.

*

Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

*

Physically fit to perform manual labor and work in various environments.

Gold ECS card & IPAF card

Preferred Skills:

*

Experience with both residential and commercial electrical installations.

*

Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy systems.

*

Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively.
