Our client a Hertfordshire based Main Contractor currently seek an experienced all round Carpenter to work across several of their sites within a 15 mile radius of Luton, Bedfordshire.
The work itself is either new build of refurbishment contracts.
It is essential that you hold a CSCS card and can provide recent work references to vouch for your skillset.
Duties
* Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, frameworks, and fixtures according to specifications.
* All 1st and 2nd Fix Carpentry work
* Perform joinery work, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
* Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
* Carry out heavy lifting tasks as required for transporting materials and equipment.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including electricians and masons, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with building codes.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and carpentry principles.
* Ability to operate various power tools safely and efficiently.
* Experience with heavy lifting; physical stamina is essential for this role.
* Ability to be able to turn your hand to other trades is beneficial but not entirely essential
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
* Own Transport as will be required to work on several of the companies sites within a 15 mile radius of Luton
This is an immediate start for the right candidate and will be set to run for at least 3 months.
