A leading specialist contractor delivering high-tech, mission-critical environments is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in one of their flagship developments in London Docklands. Your Next Challenge - What You'll Be Responsible For
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll steer the commercial success of key projects from procurement through to final account. Working closely with Project Directors and Commercial Managers, you'll ensure robust contract management, drive value, and safeguard margins.
Your duties will include:

Leading the commercial delivery of complex, high-value projects
Taking responsibility for contract strategy, procurement, and subcontractor negotiations
Managing cost planning, cash flow, valuations, and forecasting
Overseeing variation management and ensuring timely resolution of change
Chairing key commercial meetings and presenting cost/value reports to senior stakeholders
Mentoring junior surveyors and contributing to team development
Ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and compliance with company policies
Supporting EOT claims and managing loss and expense submissions as required
Maintaining strong commercial governance and risk awareness throughout the project lifecycle About the Business - Where You'll Be Working

What You'll Bring - And What You'll Gain
Required Experience & Skills:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent (RICS/SCSI accredited)
Minimum 5-7 years' commercial experience in construction, ideally with exposure to critical or technically complex sectors
Contractual fluency (JCT, FIDIC, RIAI etc.) and strong understanding of UK construction law
Demonstrated ability to manage packages independently and report at senior levels
Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills, and stakeholder confidence What's in It for You:
