Associate Civil Engineer
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000

A well-established civil engineering consultancy is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to lead infrastructure projects across Watford and the wider South East. As an Associate Civil Engineer, you will take ownership of highways, drainage and SuDS schemes while mentoring engineers and strengthening client relationships.

This Associate Civil Engineer role combines technical delivery with people leadership and commercial responsibility.

Key responsibilities
* Lead highways, drainage and infrastructure design
* Manage and mentor engineers within the Watford team
* Act as principal contact for clients and stakeholders
* Review calculations, drawings and technical reports
* Support fee proposals and business development
* Ensure delivery to programme, budget and compliance standards

Candidate requirements
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Minimum seven years' UK consultancy experience
* Strong roads and drainage infrastructure background
* Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant design software
* Experience leading teams and supporting growth
