Position: Civil Project Engineer

Location: Chichester, West Sussex

Salary: £50,000 -£60,000 per annum, plus plus pension and benefits

An opportunity to work for a consultancy where civil engineering is the lead discipline. Using your roads & drainage expertise you will be unlocking the value of major developer led infrastructure projects. The role has more client influence and deeper involvement. Here, infrastructure design is not secondary, you will lead the design and not follow it.

You will be involved from site appraisal, planning and detailed design stages through to adoption, becoming the developers’ trusted advisor, and an invaluable asset. The position provides career progression, and you will be well supported and rewarded.

Company Snapshot: A very well managed, independently owned medium size practice. They are a profitable , steadily expanding firm with strong cash reserves and sizeable assets. They have decades of trading history and are the consultant of choice for many blue chip companies.

Your Role: Working alongside an associate you will focus on the design and delivery of drainage and highway infrastructure for new developments. This will include the preparation of technical designs to support S104, S38 and S278 applications, together with the production of assessments and reports for planning and detailed design stages. You will work closely with clients, project managers and senior engineers, contributing to client advisory work, design and coordination.

Your Profile: A degree qualified civil engineer with roads and drainage design experience, including S38, S278 and S104 processes. Familiar with AutoCAD, Civils 3D and industry drainage design software. A minimum of four years relevant work experience.
