Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Pay: £11.85 per hour
Location: South Wales (Cardiff, Vale Of Glamorgan, RCT)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30-15:30

Teaching Personnel is seeking an inspiring and dedicated candidate to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant. Your role will involve working closely with a selected pupil, providing vital support to enhance their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the class teacher to assist and encourage the selected pupil's progress.
Act as a supportive shadow during all lessons and potentially during lunchtime.
Ensure the pupil is prepared and engaged for every lesson.
Proactively manage potential disruptions, de-escalate situations, and intervene if necessary.
Cultivate positive working relationships with the pupil and set clear expectations.
Offer constructive feedback and praise to boost the pupil's self-esteem.
Foster inclusivity among pupils and promote social interaction.
The Ideal Candidate:

Brings a positive, energetic, and patient attitude to the role.
Demonstrates initiative in handling challenging situations.
Is hands-on and ready to assist both the pupil and the class teacher.
Has the ability to build strong connections with pupils.
Is passionate about working in a special educational needs environment.
Remains composed under pressure.
Is motivational and supportive in nature.
Fluent in Welsh.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
