The Direct Support Provider (DSP) provides overall support to empower members to achieve their optimal independence. The DSP is responsible for providing direct support, positive direction, and assistance to members in accordance with program policies, procedures and DDD standards. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with daily activities of life skills by monitoring and implementing each member's daily activity schedule, teaching safety awareness, documenting each member’s progress in alignment with ISP goals, and participating in community engagement activities and/or program location-based activities. Finally, the Direct Support Provider is responsible for facilitating all necessary actions to achieve success for program members and realize the Mission and Vision of OSBI.
