As a Senior Support Worker, you'll lead by example, providing high-quality, therapeutic care and mentoring colleagues to create a nurturing, supportive environment where children can thrive. Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor a team of support workers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, child-focused care.

  • Act as a positive role model, fostering a safe and loving environment that promotes recovery, growth, and lasting change.

  • Support children's daily needs, building trusting relationships to help them achieve their potential.

  • Engage young people in meaningful activities, from sports to creative hobbies, to enhance their well-being.

  • Maintain accurate records, including progress reports and care plans, to support high standards of care.

  • Collaborate with the Registered Manager and professionals to deliver tailored therapeutic support.

What We're Looking For

  • Essential: Minimum of 12 months' experience in the care sector, ideally in children's residential settings.

  • Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

  • Essential: Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (recognised with enhanced pay rates).

  • Naturally caring, resilient, and flexible with a passion for supporting young people.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire colleagues and engage with children.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

  • Ability to work flexibly across shifts and sleep-in duties.
