Adore Recruitment are recruiting for 2 x Waste Operatives for one of our Blue-Chip clients based in DN14 postcode area.

These positions are for immediate start - on a Temp to Perm basis:

Key Responsibilities - Waste Operative

• Waste Management & Movement:
  • Move waste across external site areas as required.
  • Load waste into designated skips and containers.
  • Relocate hazardous waste containers to centralized collection points.
  • Operate utility buggies and other material handling equipment to support waste movement.
• Baler & Compactor Operations:
  • Operate balers for cardboard and plastic waste.
  • Perform basic fault-finding, setup, and daily operation of balers.
  • Use and manage compactors safely and efficiently.
• Documentation & Compliance:
  • Accurately complete and sign Waste Transfer Notes and Consignment Notes in line with legal and environmental standards.
  • Ensure all waste handling procedures comply with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Spill Response & Prevention:
  • Train and be prepared to respond appropriately to spills.
  • Replenish and maintain external spill kits.
• Coordination & Communication:
  • Book and coordinate waste collections with external waste providers and client site management.
  • Maintain effective communication with the site cleaning team, Apleona, and the Estate Manager.
  • Attend departmental meetings and cascade company communications to relevant team members promptly.
• Site Maintenance & Cleaning:
  • Perform deep cleaning of external areas using equipment such as pressure washers.
  • Support overall cleanliness and tidiness of site areas.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Foster a collaborative and proactive working environment.
  • Embrace and promote a culture of learning and development within the team and wider business.
• Driving & Vehicle Operation:
  • Drive site vehicles as required (a full, clean UK driving licence is essential).
