Are you an experienced and resilient tutor with a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are currently recruiting for a full-time 1:1 Tutor to support a pupil in Salford who requires bespoke educational provision outside of mainstream school. This is a highly rewarding role where you will play a key part in re-engaging a young person with learning and building their confidence both academically and emotionally.

About the Role:

Deliver personalised, differentiated lessons (core subjects such as English and Maths)

Adapt teaching strategies to meet SEMH needs and learning gaps

Provide consistency, structure, and clear boundaries

Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

Track progress and provide regular feedback to the agency and relevant professionals

Sessions may take place in the home or community setting

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with pupils with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or those out of education

Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

A calm, patient and resilient approach

The ability to build positive, trusting relationships

Experience delivering tailored 1:1 learning

QTS or relevant teaching/tutoring qualification (desirable but not essential)
