HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Leicester, Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Shifts: Monday to Friday: 6.00am - 4.00pm MONDAY 

Pay Rate: £15.29 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• No heavy lifting
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Essential Skills

As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
• Have a minimum of six months experience driving Category C vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

•  Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
