HGV Class 2 Driver – Warrington, Cheshire

People Solutions are looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client based in Warrington, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Shifts      
•  Working five days out of seven (including weekends)      
•  AM: 01:00–04:00 start times      
•  PM: 14:00–18:00 start times

Rates of Pay      
•  £16.63 per hour (standard 48 hours)      
•  £24.33 per hour (overtime after 48 hours)      
•  Minimum of twelve hours paid per shift with all breaks fully paid

Day-to-Day Duties      
•  Working rotating shifts      
•  Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently      
•  Completing 6–7 product deliveries to stores across the UK daily      
•  Ensuring all loads are kept at correct temperatures      
•  Unloading cages safely using a tail lift and delivering into stores      
•  Taking photos to document completed deliveries      
•  Handling customer concerns and reporting them to management

Essential Skills      
•  Minimum six months’ Class 2 driving experience      
•  Valid UK Category C driving licence      
•  Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph      
•  No more than six points for minor offences (no DR10, DG10, IN10, TT99)      
•  No major endorsements      
•  Strong customer service skills

Desirable Experience      
•  Experience with cage and temperature-controlled deliveries

Training Provided      
•  First-day assessment followed by two weeks’ training with a permanent member of staff      
•  Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout
