Float Legal Secretary
Location: Various offices across the South West, including central Bristol
Salary: Up to circa £28,000 (DOE)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Travel Requirement: A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential due to the multi-location nature of the role
Role Overview
A full-time opportunity has arisen for an experienced Float Legal Secretary to provide flexible and high-quality secretarial support across multiple departments and office locations. The role offers variety and the opportunity to work with different teams across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and formatting of legal correspondence and documents
- Handling incoming and outgoing post efficiently
- Audio typing and general word processing duties
- Filing, photocopying, scanning, and printing of legal documents
- Client communication via telephone and email
- Providing reception cover as and when required
- Supporting different legal departments as needed
Desired Experience
- Prior experience in at least one of the following areas is highly desirable:
- Conveyancing
- Wills and Probate
- Family Law
Requirements
- Proven experience in a legal secretarial role
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to adapt quickly to different teams and working environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital file management
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle, due to travel across multiple office locations
