Interim Financial Accountant

3–6 Month Contract | London | Hybrid Working

MLC Partners are working with a large, nationally recognised UK charity to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant for an initial 3–6 month role. This role will support the finance team during a busy period and focus heavily on fixed asset accounting and register management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong systems and excel capability to join a complex organisation with a significant asset base.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintaining and reviewing a large Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
• Supporting capitalisation, disposals and depreciation processes
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations related to fixed assets
• Working closely with finance colleagues to ensure accuracy of asset reporting
• Supporting month-end and financial reporting activities
• Utilising Agresso (Unit4) to manage financial data and reporting
• Using advanced Excel to analyse, reconcile and manipulate large datasets

Key skillset:

• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience managing or working with large Fixed Asset Registers
• Strong Agresso / Unit4 system experience
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work with complex financial data
• The ability to work independently in an interim environment
