Machine Shop Team Leader - Late Shift

£21.00 per hour

Full Time | Permanent | 39 hours per week

Working Hours

Late Shift:

Monday - Wednesday: 3:30pm - 2:00am
Thursday: 3:30pm - 1:00am
Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturer, is currently seeking an experienced Machine Shop Team Leader to join their production team based in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with leadership experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a busy and well-organised manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the machine shop team during the late shift
Ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety procedures are met
Operate and provide cover across key machinery including:

Beam Saw
Edgebander
CNC Machines

Allocate tasks and coordinate workflow across the team
Monitor production progress and resolve operational issues where required
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety
Coordinate production flow between machine shop, spray shop, and dispatch
Support the training and development of team members
Requirements

Previous experience working within a machine shop or woodworking manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with Beam Saws, Edgebanders, and CNC machines
Experience with machinery such as Weeke, Biesse, Homag, or Morbidelli would be beneficial
Previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred
Strong organisational and communication skills
A proactive and hands-on approach to leadership
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
