Process Technician 
An opportunity has opened up for a process technician at a world class electronics manufacturer based in the Portsmouth area. My client is looking for a forward thinking individual with a strong background in SMT, Soldering and NPI. The position itself will include SMT, Wave & Selective Soldering, Rework, Tooling and to ensure that these processes are running correctly and operating at full efficiency and optimum quality

Qualifications and Requirments 

Experience of either electronic or mechanical assembly is essential.
5 years plus of SMT and soldering experience required.
Experience in Continuous Improvement is highly desirable.
Previous experience in an engineering, technical or training discipline is an advantage.
Reading & understanding complex drawings, PCB Gerber files and instructions is important.
Awareness & understanding of IPC-A-610 & IPC J-STD-001 would be beneficial.Personal Skills 

Awareness of key PCB assembly techniques, e.g. SMT, Hand Soldering
Familiarity with PC software, e.g. Microsoft Office and Gerber viewers.
Good communicator, written, IT and verbal.
Ability to work under own initiative to solve problems in a structured and logical manner.
