Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to promoting physical fitness, health, and well-being among students. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive PE curriculum that encourages students to engage in physical activities, develop their athletic skills, and understand the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons for students of varying abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for physical activity.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers a range of sports, fitness activities, and health education topics.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their personal fitness goals.
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular sports programs, competitions, and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education with other subjects and school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and achievements.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during physical activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience teaching PE at the primary or secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of sports, fitness activities, and health education topics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in physical education.
