Specialist Personal Care Assistant

Location: Wednesfield, Wolverhampton (WV11)
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

We are seeking a Specialist Personal Care Assistant to support a 56-year-old gentleman with Cerebral Palsy who is a wheelchair user and non-verbal. This is a rewarding role for someone experienced, compassionate, and reliable who can deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

About the Role

As a Specialist Personal Care Assistant, you will provide support with all aspects of daily living, including:

Personal Care: Washing, dressing, continence support, hoist transfers, monitoring skin integrity, and medication support.

*

Domestic Duties: Laundry, ironing, deep cleaning of the bedroom, wet room, and equipment. Preparing meals and drinks (all meals pureed, fluids thickened).

*

Social Support: Encouraging social stimulation, including attending a Day Centre.

Hours of Work

*

Flexible, up to 20 hours per week on a two-week rota:

*

Week 1: Wed AM+PM, Thurs AM, Sun AM+PM

*

Week 2: Wed AM+PM, Thurs PM, Fri AM+PM

*

Shifts: 07:00-09:45/13:00 (AM) and 15:15-19:00 weekdays / 16:00-19:00 weekends

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this Specialist Personal Care Assistant role, you must have:

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

*

Right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available

*

Full UK Driving Licence

*

Previous experience in care, ideally with complex needs

*

Hoist and Moving & Handling training

*

Medication training
