Learning Support Assistant - Daily Rate: £90 - £100

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide both SEN and general classroom support in secondary schools. This role is ideal for someone passionate about enhancing student learning experiences and providing necessary support to foster an inclusive educational environment.
Day-to-day of the role: - Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Provide tailored support to students in a classroom setting, ensuring they understand the material and are engaged in the learning process.
- Work closely with teachers to monitor student progress and contribute to the planning of activities that cater to a diverse range of needs.
- Facilitate small group sessions and one-to-one support for students requiring additional help.
- Implement behavioural management strategies and support students in managing their behaviour effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and any issues that arise, communicating effectively with teachers and parents as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Experience in a similar role within secondary education, supporting SEN and general classroom activities.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs of children and how to support them effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and work collaboratively with other staff.
- Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to dealing with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- A relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred.
