CCTV Installation Technician - Nights

Odin Recruitment is working on behalf of a respected technology integration provider to recruit a CCTV Installation Technician for night shifts based out of Luton. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist installation team delivering high-performance surveillance and network systems in unique environments such as swimming pool facilities.

You'll be part of a mobile two-person team working across sites to install structured copper and fibre cabling, IP CCTV systems, wireless access points, and network hardware. The job involves high-level bracket mounting, data rack installation, and ensuring all work is performed to strict safety and quality standards. You must be comfortable working at heights and occasionally over water, with full PPE and platform safety in place.

A strong customer service ethic is essential, as is the ability to think on your feet to troubleshoot and deliver solutions on-site. You will also be responsible for training users on installed systems, maintaining detailed records, and flagging any opportunities for improvement in the installation process.

To be considered, you'll need a relevant electrical qualification (minimum NVQ Level 3), an ECS Gold card, and certifications such as IPAF (3a/3b), SMSTS, CNCI, and City & Guilds Fibre Optic Cabling. Experience installing structured cabling, IP CCTV systems, and data rack builds is essential, as is confidence using MEWPs and working as part of a small mobile team.

A full UK driving licence is required, and being a confident swimmer is also important due to the nature of the environments you'll be working in.

This is a permanent, full-time role with a salary of £40,000 and opportunities to develop within a fast-paced, technology-focused environment.
