We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Support Worker to join our team, working closely with a student to ensure they receive the individual attention and support they need to thrive.

Job Description:As a 1:1 Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting a student with their educational and personal development. You will work closely with the student, teachers, and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning experience. This role is open to candidates interested in working within an SEN (Special Educational Needs) school environment.

Responsibilities:- Provide tailored support to a specific student, assisting with their academic, social, and emotional needs- Implement and follow Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs) and behavior management plans- Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure consistent support- Monitor and record the student’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents- Support the student during breaks, lunchtimes, and extracurricular activities as needed- Promote a safe and inclusive environment for the student

Requirements:- Experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting- A valid Child and Adult DBS check - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the student- Understanding of SEN and experience in an SEN school setting is highly desirable
