Job Title: Trainer / Assessor - Plumbing & Heating

Location: Chippenham / Cross College (Wiltshire College & University Centre)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (37 hours per week)
Salary: Up to £40,814 per annum

Overview

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a Trainer / Assessor in Plumbing & Heating to support learners in developing industry-standard skills and knowledge. This role is ideal for an experienced plumber looking to transition away from site work into a more stable, rewarding career within education.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain safe, organised and fully equipped plumbing workshops

Deliver practical training sessions covering installation, maintenance and repair

Support learners in developing technical skills and confidence

Assist with assessment, feedback and portfolio development

Ensure tools, equipment and materials are maintained to a high standard

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Plumbing / Domestic Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)

Gas Safe Registration

Proven hands-on industry experience

Strong communication and mentoring skills

Interest in teaching and developing others
