My Local Authority client in the Midlands is looking to appoint a talented Assistant Director for Strategic Commissioning (Adults) on a Contract basis.

The role will lead strategic commissioning function for the Council, ensuring strategic contract management and delivering VFM.

Local Authority experience is essential

About the role:

Based in the Midlands (hybrid):

Lead the Strategic Commissioning function for Adult Social Care.
Develop and implement commissioning strategies, delivering VFM.
Undertake needs assessment and gap analyses to inform commissioning decisions
Develop and manage commissioning cycles, including service specs, procurement, contract management and monitoring.About you:
You will have the following experiences:

Extensive experience in Adult's Commissioning, at Head of Service level or above.
Deep experience in project management and transformation.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Local Authority experience is essential.What's on offer:

Salary: £750+ per day, inside IR35*negotiable based on experience
