About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join a specialist primary setting supporting children with Learning Difficulties, Autism, and Speech & Language Needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, delivering tailored education and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
  • Lead the day-to-day teaching and care of a class of pupils with SEN
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress and achievements
  • Provide strong pastoral support to pupils
  • Work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and external professionals
  • Line manage and support Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) within the classroom
  • Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement
  • Prepare reports for Annual Reviews and maintain accurate student records
  • Participate in school activities including PE, swimming, and enrichment programmes
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Has experience working with SEN, particularly ASD or complex needs
  • Is confident managing a classroom with additional support staff
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
  • Is flexible, proactive, and a strong team player
The Environment

This role involves working in a specialist setting, which may include:

  • Supporting pupils with personal care needs
  • Assisting with medical or therapeutic programmes (training provided)
  • Participating in physical activities (e.g. PE, swimming)
  • Working in a hands-on, dynamic classroom environment
