Senior Payroll Specialist – Interim

Hoddesdon (On-site, 5 days)

£300 – £400 per day

3-month contract

An established, fast-paced organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a high-volume payroll function during a busy period.

This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, working with manual processes and large data volumes to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• End-to-end payroll support across a high-volume workforce (2000+)
• Manual payroll calculations and data validation
• Managing and reconciling payroll data using Excel
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate payroll records under tight deadlines

What we’re looking for:

• Proven payroll experience (end-to-end essential)
• Strong Excel skills (tested at interview)
• Experience handling high-volume payrolls
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Confident with manual processes and fast-paced environments

Due to location, driving is highly beneficial

Immediate starters preferred – ideal for someone available now or finishing a contract.
