Salary: £220 - £240/day

On behalf of my client, I am actively recruiting for an Site Manager to work on a school refurb project in Epsom. My Client is a multidisciplinary company delivering an abundance of high end projects across the UK.

This will be a RAAC removal project - consisting of structural work and roof replacement on the school.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the post holder will be responsible for overseeing all contractors on site.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the co-ordination and control of the project from the design stage, through to completion and the handover of the project to the client.

• Ensuring timely management of any unforeseen delays.

• Regular monitoring and liaison with the Contracts Manager on the Master Programme and development of stage/section programmes as required.

• Day to day management of operations on site, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time, budget and quality constraints.

• Plan and efficiently organise the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose and only operated by appropriately trained staff

• Requisition all materials, and oversee the deliveries and ensure they are done so in adequate time in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule.

• Ensure workmanship and material standards are achieved in accordance with specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation as well as quality standards.

• Ensure site team and sub-contractors are following common operational standards.

• Maintain close relations with the Contracts Manager and Contract Surveyor regarding cost control, waste management, variations and Confirmation of Instructions.

• Undertake all relevant training and development activities as required.

Ideal Candidate will be/have:

* Adaptable

* Willing to work weekends

* Good communication and language skills

* Problem solving

* Minimum SMSTS , First aid, CSCS , DBS

* Practical experience in fit out and refurb (Specifically on schools/ colleges) - comfortable with internal block refurb work

* Able to set up and set work tasks
