Job Title: Managing Estimator

Location: Derby, Derbyshire

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Role Summary: As a Managing Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our company by providing quotations for a wide range of painting enquiries. This dynamic position will involve both office-based tasks and site visits. Your responsibilities will include pricing bills of quantities/schedules of rates, conducting take-offs from provided drawings, and assembling competitive tender packages by the required deadline. Site visits will entail meeting with customers, conducting site measurements, and assessing labour and material requirements to accurately quote for projects. Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers is paramount, as is strategically following up on quotations to secure projects. Additionally, you will collaborate with our QS team to monitor existing workload and compile monthly reports. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, and you will be a pivotal member of our team.

Person Specification: Successful candidates will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proven experience in pricing and working within the subcontract finishing trade industry, along with robust IT skills, is essential. The ideal candidate will thrive in a role with significant responsibility and autonomy, working alongside a team of excellent surveyors in a company with a proven track record.
