SALARY: £18000 - £20000/annum

My client an international leading organisation based in Leeds City Centre is looking to appoint a Purchase Ledger Assistant on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for providing support to the business by the timely processing and paying within the payables function. You will accurately process invoices and expenses and ensuring procedures are applied. You will work closely with the rest of the team to deliver a consistently high quality service to clients whilst continuing to build up their own knowledge and expertise.

Responsibilities:

* Processing invoices electronically manually

* Processing of Credit Card Statements

* Processing corrections of errors

* Process disbursements

* Processing expenses

* Expenses auditing

* Query resolution

* Assisting with month end duties

Criteria:

* Experience of a Payables Role essential

* Knowledge of accounting principles is essential (Familiar with accounts and double entry bookkeeping and the ability to demonstrate and apply accounting controls

* Knowledge of dealing with foreign currency desirable

* Able to communicate confidently and clearly to people at all levels both oral written

Good organisational skills attention to detail

* Professional approach to work and clients

* Strong team player who will also act as a positive role model to the rest of the team

* Can work with various IT systems

* IT literate and proficient in Excel (ability to perform pivots formulas is an advantage but not essential)

Remuneration package:

* Salary £18,000- £20,000

* Study support available

* Close to Leeds train station

* 37.5 hours
