Role: Pre/De - brief Operative

Location: Stoke on Trent

Hours: 06:00 to 18:00 - 4 on 4 off

Pay: £12.92 per hour

About the role:

We are seeking dedicated and proactive Transport Pre-Brief/De-Briefer operatives to join the team in Stoke-on-trent. This pivotal role involves overseeing day-to-day transport operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional service.

Days Transport Pre-Brief/De-Briefer will play a key part in coordinating and managing transport activities, leading a team to maintain high standards of efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing:

* Providing clear pre-briefs on delivery routes and instructions, ensuring each journey is effectively planned for seamless and efficient deliveries.

* Conduct thorough driver de-briefs, setting acheivable performance targets that promote continuous improvement.

* Ensure all documentation is accurate, and completed promptly

* Strive for Health & Safety excellence, maintaining a working environment that is secure and compliant at all times.

* Liaise closely with drivers during their shifts, tracking delivery progress and provide critical updates to relevant teams.

* Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, handling pre-briefs, de-briefs, and all queries, ensuring feedback is shared and driving key performance goals.

* Leverage your experience in fast-paced transport administration, strong PC literacy (particularly in Word and Excel), and keen attention to detail to keep operations running smoothly, even under pressure.

What you will need:

* Comprehensive knowledge of transport legislation and logistics operations

* Previous experience within a transport or logistics environment

* Experience with transport management systems such as Microlise is highly advantageous, though not essential — we welcome candidates eager to learn and adapt
