I am looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to start ASAP with a well known client in the Ashford area. You will join a small but busy team, and will already have Purchase Ledger experience.



Main Tasks

- Coding and checking Invoices, petty cash claims, expenses and entering onto system daily
- Ensuring all documentation received meets VAT requirements
- Reconciling bank statements to the cash book on a weekly basis
- Preparing a weekly BACS run
- Review/action age creditors reports
- Ensuring all invoices/expenses are signed off in accordance to authorisation procedures
- Dealing with purchase enquiries
- Preparing adhoc payment runs as and when required
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details


Personal Requirements

- Prior experience within a Purchase Ledger environment is deemed essential
- Knowledge and experience of cashbook entries, coding and statement reconciliations is desirable
- Good IT skills and able to demonstrate the ability of adapting to new systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to challenge the status quo and recommend change
- Able to work under own initiative
- Good Team Player






This position is best filled by a person who is selfconfident, enthusiastic, of a positive disposition, selfstarting, active, alert, competitive and able to work both as a team and on their own initiative. The ability to work in a fastpaced environment is also essential along with the ability to prioritise workload.
