Job Title: Transport Coordinator

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join a fast-paced logistics environment. This role involves coordinating drivers, optimising resource use, and ensuring the smooth movement of freight. You'll also handle national quoting, bookings via Haulier Exchange, and maintain high customer service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Coordinate drivers and resources to ensure efficient freight movement
✔ Answer inbound calls and emails, processing bookings accurately
✔ Maintain high customer service standards with rapid responses
✔ Ensure compliance with EU Driver Hours Regulations and safety standards
✔ Plan routes, manage load requirements, and track vehicle capacity
✔ Debrief drivers daily and assist with training and induction
✔ Process Sameday requests and manage costs via Haulier Exchange
✔ Identify and implement service improvements

Requirements:

🔹 1+ year experience in a logistics or warehousing environment
🔹 Excellent UK geographical knowledge and route planning skills
🔹 Strong understanding of vehicle capacity and courier requirements
🔹 Knowledge of Aviation Security and EU Driver Regulations
🔹 Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
🔹 Excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making skills
🔹 A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently
