HGV Class 1 Driver – Dayshift Trunking – Falkirk

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver – Dayshift Trunking – Falkirk to join our well-established client based in Falkirk. This role would suit candidates who have experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Driver, or Class 1 Trunk Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for long-term progression, including temp-to-perm.

• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Temporary ongoing

Rates of Pay

• £16.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps (double deckers)
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules

Essential Skills

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
• Minimum of 1 year’s Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial driving experience

Training Provided

• Driver assessment required prior to start (this usually takes place at the start of your shift)
• Industry-related training and ongoing support
