Our client, a reputable organisation specialising in civil engineering projects, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Estimator to join their team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Senior Estimator in preparing accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects.

Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to compile comprehensive bills of quantities.

Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Support in the assessment of project risks and constructability issues.

Maintain detailed records of tenders and estimating processes.

Collaborate with the project team to ensure estimates are aligned with project specifications and budgets.

Contribute to the preparation of bid proposals and tender reports.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in civil engineering estimating or a related role.

Knowledge of civil engineering processes, materials, and construction methods.

Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office suite.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work effectively within a team and under pressure.

Salary/Package:

Up to £40k, DOE

Car Allowance/Company Car
