Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Summary:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy delivering projects across a diverse range of sectors. This role offers the chance to lead electrical design packages, engage directly with clients, and support the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions. You'll play a key role in project leadership, technical delivery, and mentoring junior engineers within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

The Role:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take ownership of electrical design across multiple projects, from feasibility through to completion. You'll act as a key client interface, lead design coordination, and ensure all work meets the highest technical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the electrical design process across a range of projects

Represent the business in client and design team meetings

Develop project briefs, design criteria, and costed solutions

Manage tender processes and contribute to budget planning and cost control

*

Produce high-quality drawings, specifications, and performance calculations

Coordinate building services designs with internal teams and external consultants

*

Monitor contractor installations to ensure compliance with design intent and regulations

*

Support and mentor junior engineers within the team

*

Contribute to business development activities and client relationship management

*

Undertake site surveys, inspections, and monitor project progress

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in electrical design within a building services consultancy environment

Strong understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards

Experience leading projects and acting as a client-facing representative

Ability to produce and review technical drawings and specifications

Strong coordination skills across multi-disciplinary teams

Commercial awareness with experience in cost planning and tender processes

Excellent communication and leadership skills
