Start Date: September 2025

This is an unparalleled opportunity for a qualified and passionate teacher to make a profound impact on diverse learners throughout the county. Imagine reaching children and communities who might otherwise face barriers to traditional schooling, bringing high-quality education directly to them in a flexible and exciting environment.

About the Role:

You will be the heart of our pioneering mobile learning initiative, responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to individuals and small groups of pupils, potentially including those with specific learning needs or those who are home-schooled. Your "classroom on wheels" will be fully equipped, providing a stimulating and safe space for learning wherever you are in Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of subjects and key stages, adapting to the needs of individual learners.

Mobile Classroom Management: Effectively manage and maintain the motor-home classroom, ensuring a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment.

Itinerant Teaching: Travel across various locations within Lancashire, adhering to a pre-planned schedule and managing travel logistics.

Individualised Learning: Assess pupil progress, identify learning gaps, and tailor teaching methods to meet diverse educational requirements, including SEND.

Relationship Building: Foster strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and local communities, acting as a friendly and professional ambassador for mobile learning.

Resource Management: Manage and organise teaching resources and equipment within the mobile classroom.

Safeguarding & Welfare: Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of pupil attendance, progress, and any relevant observations or incidents.

Collaboration: Work closely with the programme coordinator to refine routes, schedules, and learning objectives.

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential, with demonstrable experience across primary and/or secondary phases.

Adaptability & Flexibility: A natural ability to thrive in a dynamic, non-traditional educational setting and adjust to varying learning environments and pupil needs.

Passion for Innovation: Enthusiasm for pioneering new approaches to education and reaching underserved learners.

Excellent Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and community members.

Independent & Resourceful: A self-starter who can manage their own schedule, troubleshoot minor issues, and be highly organised.

Curriculum Versatility: Ability to teach a broad range of subjects and tailor content to different age groups and abilities.

Full UK Driving Licence: Essential, with experience driving larger vehicles (motor-home driving experience is highly desirable, but full training will be provided if necessary).

Commitment to Safeguarding: A strong understanding and commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.

DBS Check: Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check & D1 driving licence.
