About the Role

We are currently registering experienced Chefs for temporary assignments in primary and secondary schools across North, West, and North-West London. These roles involve supporting school kitchen teams, covering absences, and delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced catering environment.

This is not a single vacancy — we are building a strong pool of chefs for regular, ongoing temporary school work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing and cooking meals to school catering standards
• Supporting menu delivery and dietary requirements
• Maintaining high levels of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Working alongside kitchen teams to ensure smooth service
• Managing stock, prepping ingredients, and supporting daily food production
• In some cases, supervising or guiding junior kitchen staff

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Line Chef, Cook, or Head Chef
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety
• Ability to work independently and follow set menus
• Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
• School or contract catering experience is beneficial but not essential

Requirements (Compliance)

As these roles take place within schools, full safeguarding checks must be completed:

• Right to Work in the UK (Share code, passport, birth certificate, etc.)
• Enhanced DBS Check
  • A DBS on the Update Service speeds up your registration
  • If not, we can process a new DBS for you (may take 1–3+ weeks depending on DBS timelines)
• Three professional references (Must cover the last 2–3 years of employment)
• Overseas Police Check Required if you have lived outside the UK in the last 5 years
• Ability to complete all compliance documents required for school placements

Important Notes

• These are temporary roles, and shifts depend on school requirements
• Full registration & compliance can take a week or longer, depending on documentation and DBS turnaround
• Once fully cleared, you will be offered shifts based on your availability and school needs
