Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Barking
Salary: £55,000 - £57,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights)

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business with a turnover exceeding £55 million. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the site, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement across all production equipment.

The Role

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all plant equipment
Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise downtime
Work on a range of equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves
Complete fault finding and root cause analysis
Carry out risk assessments before undertaking any work
Support contractors and third-party engineers on site
Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering projects
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety at all times 

About You

Multi-skilled or mechanically biased engineer
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
Time-served engineer with strong hands-on experience
Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious
