Senior Accountant Job Overview

Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as the primary point of contact, consisting of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Attend and lead client meetings, providing advice on financial matters and business strategy
Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders up to review stage
There is the opportunity to do some audit work within the audit team
Completing and review VAT returns and ensure all deadlines are met
Assist with the preparation and review of management accounts
Supervise and support junior staff, reviewing their work and assisting in their development

Senior Accountant Job Requirements

Minimum of 3 years accountancy practice experience
ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified or qualified by experience is also acceptable
Experience in conducting client meetings, and preparing accounts up to final review, is beneficial
Must be well spoken, polite, and personable. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills are required
Must be able to commute to Bury
No requirement for visa sponsorship
