We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading automotive accident repair centre based in Bridgend, seeking an experienced Body Repair Technician to join their night-shift team.

This Night-Shift Vehicle Body Repair Technician position offers a 4-day guaranteed workweek from 6:00pm to 6:00am, Monday to Thursday. As a dedicated Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vehicle repairs in a modern, well-equipped workshop environment. Remove damaged panels or parts for repair or replacement
Repair minor dents, scratches, and rusted areas using fillers and soldering techniques
Fit new panels when damage exceeds repairability
Prepare surfaces by stripping old paintwork, sealant, and rust
Match paint colours, prime, and spray finish repaired panels
Seal and wax repaired surfaces to high standards
Carry out Mechanical and Electrical Trim (MET), including stripping and fitting body panels
Complete repairs independently, ensuring high-quality standards
Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
Work efficiently within a fast-paced team settingRequirements:

Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Bridgend
Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points
Relevant IMI/NVQ qualifications in Vehicle Body Repair are highly advantageous but not essential
Proven practical experience in vehicle body repair, including panel, paint, and MET disciplines
Ability to work independently and deliver high standards of workmanship
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Flexibility to work night shifts on a consistent basis
