*Position is currently located in San Clemente CA*

The coordinator will have primary responsibility to perform customer service functions in support of our NVOCC operation. The coordinator will take a primary lead and make it a priority in booking ocean and truck freight with the least cost carriers available, ensure container pickups happen as planned, proactively communicate with customers on potential new business to book and liaise with InfoX – (back office) in the generation and distribution of all shipment documents in compliance with customer, steamship line and MAC Container needs.
The coordinator will take primary lead in communication with steamship line, booking new shipments and making changes / corrections as needed in a timely manner. It is the coordinators responsibility to ensure the rates used are filed with the carrier in advance of tendering cargo and to ensure the cargo is booked on the correct service for the rate assumed.
The coordinator will work with diligence and accuracy acting as a liaison for the customer to all parties that impact the transaction.
The coordinator will make it a point of emphasis to proactively reach out to the customer and solicit additional business or inquire of additional services MAC can provide.
The coordinator will be primary to work and take a proactive role with truckers to organize logistics and coordinate with steamship lines / railroads to get containers billed in a manner to ensure their shipments get on the vessels as planned. When considering freight rates the coordinator will maximize margins, but also select those carriers that give us the best change of success to complete the order according to the customers loading requirements.

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to, in order of priority.
• Based on sale rates established with shippers, book ocean and truck freight with the least cost possible, ensuring carriers used give us the best chance possible to execute the business.
• Proactively manage all truck logistics to ensure container are loaded according to shippers needs and carrier cut off dates.
• Proactively anticipate customer needs and actively pursue additional business
• Liaise with InfoX to ensure documents are generated and distributed to customers and carriers in line with their needs / deadlines.
• Primary to promptly invoice customer and close shipping files and accounting.
• Primary of rate disputes and then hand to account for final resolution.
