We are excited to announce that we have a Deputy Manager vacancy opportunity available.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 4 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Residential Management) Wales & NI or as a minimum Level 3 Health & Social Care Diploma, (being committed to work towards and achieve Level 4).

Who we are:

We are a small residential based service on the immediate outskirts of Abergavenny in a semi-rural location, providing high quality care for 6 adults who have a learning disability, autism, and complex needs, across 2 homes within sight of the Black Mountains in South Wales.

As Deputy Manager you will be someone who can see the bigger picture and have the visionary skill to be able to help develop the service further.

You will have the following core values:

You will have senior or management experience within a relevant care setting and will be familiar with appropriate regulations and legislation, skilled in administration, have an understanding of the intricacies and challenges of the sector, and be able to manage a team successfully, being ready for early responsibility.

You will be committed, flexible and organised, with a positive approach and put the people who we support at the heart of everything you do.

You will be working closely with the people we support, families, stakeholders and internal/external specialist services and be able to actively promote our service and further develop community links.

You will need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions.

You will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel skills would also be beneficial.

Role Specific Requirements:

You will be overseeing recruitment and induction, managing rotas, mentoring staff thus realising any potential training opportunities.

You will be required to monitor senior support staff in effective record keeping and team management. You will be central to service delivery and you will take a hands-on approach to care management too and step in to assist if required.

This is a full-time role with normal working office hours being Monday to Friday, but you may be required to work at weekends including hours over days or nights. You will be required to deputise for the Registered Manager as needed and be part of an on-call rota.
