Welder / Fabricator (MIG & TIG)

Location: Crawley

Salary: £14.00 - £17.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate (Weekdays and Saturdays)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 16:00 (includes 1 x 30-minute and 2 x 15-minute breaks)
Overtime Availability: Weekdays up to 17:30, Saturdays 07:30 - 11:30

This company delivers high-quality, bespoke fabrication solutions to a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their skilled workshop team.

Job Profile

The Welder / Fabricator will be responsible for completing fabrication tasks using both MIG and TIG welding techniques. This hands-on role involves interpreting engineering drawings, preparing materials, and producing high-spec components with precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

* Perform MIG and TIG welding to fabricate metal components to required specifications.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate production.

* Measure, cut, and assemble parts as required for custom builds.

* Inspect completed welds and structures to ensure they meet quality standards.

* Operate fabrication tools and machinery in a safe and effective manner.

* Maintain a clean and organised work area.

* Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.

* Support the team by contributing to a positive and efficient working environment.

* Participate in overtime shifts as needed, including evenings and Saturday mornings.

Requirements / Skills

* Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding.

* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

* Skilled in the use of fabrication tools and workshop machinery.

* High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.

* Proactive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

* Good timekeeping and communication skills.

* Experience working in a busy workshop or engineering environment.
