Overview

A market-leading offshore transmission developer is seeking an experienced 400kV Senior Authorised Person for a major UK offshore transmission project. This is a key appointment within the HV operations and commissioning team, with early engagement underway ahead of the project's energisation phase.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for HV safety and switching activities across offshore transmission assets, including:

HV operations and switching on #removed# kV offshore equipment

*

Managing and issuing safety documentation (PTWs, SFTs, switching schedules)

*

Supporting energisation and commissioning of offshore transmission infrastructure

*

Ensuring compliance with all electrical safety rules, isolation procedures, and statutory requirements

*

Liaising with control room and Transmission Owner (TO) teams during switching and energisation activities

*

Providing technical oversight to contractors and ensuring safe system of work compliance

Requirements

*

Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status up to #removed# kV (National Grid, TO, DNO, OFTO, or equivalent)

*

Strong background in HV operations, switching, and electrical safety management

*

Experience with offshore transmission assets, offshore substations, or grid-scale HV infrastructure

*

Competent in issuing/controlling safety documentation and managing HV permits

*

GWO certification beneficial (can be refreshed pre-mobilisation)
