Production Supervisor - Join a Growing Engineering Business in the Southwest!Location: Yeovil, SomersetSalary:£30,000-£35,000Type: Full-time, PermanentShorterm Group are currently working with a family-run engineering and haulage company which is expanding, and we're looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to join their team!About:The company manufacture and install high-quality bulk feed silos and auger conveying systems for agricultural clients across the UK. With an increase in project demand and continued business growth, they are creating a brand-new role to strengthen our workshop and on-site operations.The Role:As their Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading a small but skilled team in both fabrication and on-site installation. This is a varied, practical role where you'll manage daily workshop activities, oversee installations on farms, and ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.You'll work closely with our Directors and Office Manager, taking responsibility for scheduling, team output, quality control, and customer relationships-both in the workshop and out on the road.What You'll Be Doing:*Leading and supervising a small team of workshop and installation operatives*Managing day-to-day shop floor activities and on-site installations*Coordinating project timelines and reporting progress to the Directors*Overseeing stores and materials, including stock control*Ensuring health & safety compliance, and producing risk assessments*Hands-on fabrication of silos and equipment*Travelling across the South West and wider UK (some overnight stays required)What We're Looking For*Practical experience in fabrication and/or agricultural equipment installation*Previous supervisory or team leadership experience (ideal)*Strong organisational skills and a problem-solving mindset*Understanding of health and safety standards in a workshop/site setting*Full UK driving licence*A flexible, proactive attitude with the willingness to travel as neededWhy Join us:*Be part of a supportive, family-run business with a positive team culture*Opportunity to shape and grow a newly created role*Varied and rewarding projects in the agricultural and engineering sectors*Long-term job stability in a company committed to continuous improvementFor more information and to register your interest please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
